The Venus of the Gargano

This is one of the most impressive pieces of the collection. To find these two stones and to put them together has been a difficult and at the same time, a fortunate task. Their shapes and appearance are irreplaceable but totally natural. The head is shaped by a flowing head of hair and in the face we can see a spontaneous but mysterious smile. The body leaves room for interpretation :are those protuberances breasts or the beginnings of the arms? A difficult decision to make for the viewers – in this way the Venus of the Gargano was created. Come and see it in my exhibition room at Carpino(Fg). Contact me.
